Weddings are always a privilege to shoot and last October I had the chance to photograph my friend’s little (actually taller) brother’s wedding. When a bride and groom value the importance of photography to capture the start of their life together, it really makes my job so much easier and Hannah and Nahum did just that. We built in a lot of time for photography during the day so I had ample opportunity to be creative. I really felt they trusted me to get great photos and that made them a lot more fun to photograph! After seeing their pictures this is one of the reflections they wrote:

Last October I had the privilege of photographing Beks and Alex Basran’s autumn wedding in Sheffield, South Yorkshire. The day started at Christ Church Fulwood, before moving to a nearby park close to Forge Dam for the group and bride and groom portraits. The reception was held at Cutlers’ Hall in Sheffield City centre and the day ended with an awesome, traditional Indian meal by the guys at Aagrar.
Another Thank You From a Wedding Client…
Last year I had the privilege of shooting Sara & Siegfried Jaeken’s wedding in Genk, Belgium and this week I received a lovely thank you card in the post from them and this is what it said:
“Thank you for taking really beautiful, romantic, in-the-rain pictures on our wedding day. We are so happy with them!
And thank you to your wife and very cute little girl for letting you come all the way to Belgium for this occasion. Thank you for making our wonderful day last!

Blessing in Disguise!
A few weeks ago I woke up to heavy rain, which is not unusual living in England, in fact it’s fairly typical of British weather. I am told you never get used to it no matter how long you have lived here and so far this is true for me. I was shooting a wedding – great! All my gear was ready to go, including my handy umbrellas that I take to every wedding for the bride and groom. I checked the weather on my iPhone one last time before setting off and the forecast was for heavy rain all day.
